Being Consistent and taking Action!

“I started at CFDA to get in shape. I was tired and couldn’t do some things without tiring.”
– Jodi Mostowsky

I want to shout out a member today and talk about something that is worth emphasizing : consistency.

Consistency is difficult to achieve. We all know the proper actions to take, yet we don’t always continue them on our own. We all know to work out 30-45 minutes a day, eat lean protein & vegetables, get proper sleep … and yet I’d wager most people do none of these things consistently on a day-to-day basis.

Instead we eat what’s available, become lazy and skip days despite knowing that taking proper action will help us feel better, more accomplished and more energetic. It can be difficult to take proper steps forward. Most of the time we aren’t sure the value in those steps is really there or we just get bored doing the same thing over and over again and not seeing the big results we really want.

Today, I want to shout out one of our members who demonstrates what it is to be consistent: Jodi Mostowsky.

Jodi came to us 3 years ago after a year of encouragement from her husband, Marc, to come check us out. Like most people, Jodi was hesitant and not fully ready to take on all of the challenges we offer. She was reluctant to go all in at the start which is totally normal. But over time, Jodi became more and more comfortable with the programming, the Coaches, and the people she was working out with. She began to develop consistency in her work outs and her involvement at the gym.

The real magic with Jodi came about 4 months ago when her attendance consistency really improved. We added Nutrition programming to her schedule and kept regular check-ins. Her average attendance increased from 6 to 12 sessions per month, her diet is better and more mindful, her performance in the gym is night-and-day and her weight is going down!

These are the results we are after! This is what we do at Dark Athletics. We want people walking into the gym excited for what’s to come because they know we are moving the needle closer and closer towards their goals.

We are all chasing that big impact and looking for the “magic cure”, but it’s the little things we do each day that add up to cause that big impact. Consistency and taking action are the “magic cure”. Every. Single. Day.

I want to thank Jodi for being consistent, taking action and feeling happy about what we’re doing here!

Jodi – keep on crushing it, and we’ll continue moving forward. Your success is our success, and that is what drives us every day to do what we do!
