Jan Glikman – Committed, Consistent, Crushing It

If you’ve spent any time at Marble Strength, you’ve probably seen Jan Glikman putting in the work — usually with a barbell in hand or crushing a rower. And if you’ve ever tried to keep up with him on a deadlift workout… well, good luck.

Jan is part of a power couple here at Marble (Sara is his wife), so it’s no surprise that both of them are in our Top 4 Committed Club members for the year. Jan has racked up an incredible 142 training sessions so far, and that consistency is showing up big in his progress.

When we asked Jan about his proudest achievement this year, he said:

“In general, my double-under consistency has improved, so I’m really happy that it’s finally ‘clicking’.”

And when we asked about new PRs, his answer was simple and awesome:

“50 double-unders in a row!”

This is a guy who knows his strengths (“deadlifts and rowing all day”) but still works on the things that challenge him. He’s competitive enough to push himself every session, but smart enough to understand that the long game is where the real wins happen.

When asked what motivates him to keep showing up, Jan said:

“Health, period! I’m getting older, hitting 55 shortly, and I want to age feeling strong and maintain my body composition.”

That’s the heart of it right there — staying strong, staying healthy, and doing it alongside people who make you better.

Jan’s outlook is refreshing and inspiring:

“Aging is inevitable, but coming in, doing the workouts to the best of my ability, and socializing with like-minded individuals is what it’s all about. It’s the best recipe I’ve found to stay young, minimize aches and pains, and stay away from medicine.”

We couldn’t agree more. Jan, we’re proud to have you on the team. Keep showing up, keep putting in the work, and keep showing everyone that age is just a number when you’re committed.
