Shocking the System – The Relentless Pursuit of Progress by Oliver G.

At Marble Strength, we talk a lot about consistency, discipline, and the long game. But every now and then, someone walks in and decides to crank the dial a little harder. That someone is Oliver Guminski.

If you’ve been in the gym lately, you’ve likely seen Oliver—training hard, training often, and training with intent. What you may not know is how deliberate and thoughtful his approach has become.

Oliver set out in 2025 with one clear mission: get out of the default routine.
“I realized we weren’t designed to work out one hour a day and sit around the rest,” he told us. “And we weren’t designed to eat three meals a day every day either.”

So he started doing something that most talk about—but few actually follow through on: he shocked the system.

That meant:

  • Double sessions
  • Mixing Strength, Buff Dads, and Weightlifting
  • Time-restricted eating and intermittent fasting
  • Intentional discomfort with training variety

His goal wasn’t just aesthetics—it was about real physiological shifts.
“Reducing insulin, increasing cortisol and growth hormone, triggering autophagy,” he said casually—as if that’s everyone’s Monday morning plan.

And what keeps him coming back?

“Marble Strength’s programming fits in perfectly. Always keeps the body guessing. While my favorite workouts are high intensity cardio, the Marble Strength program probably adds the most value. It quickly pushes me out of my comfort zone.”

We appreciate Oliver not just for his discipline, but for the way he leans fully into everything we offer. He doesn’t pick one lane—he combines programs, he asks questions, he tests his limits.

In his own words:

“As members, we have great flexibility—three great programs to choose from. And no one stops you from combining them or working out more than once a day.”

We’ll be honest—very few people train like Oliver. But it’s not the two-a-days or the fasting windows that make us proud—it’s the intention behind it all.

He trains with purpose.
He listens to his body.
And most importantly, he shows up.

Next on his list?

“I may have to try COLD PLUNGING to shock the system even more!”

Fair warning: if you see Oliver carrying a tub of ice into the gym, you’ll know what’s happening.

Oliver, you embody what Marble Strength is all about. Keep leading by example.
We see you. We appreciate you.
And we’ll be ready with a towel if that cold plunge shows up.
