HOLIDAY WARS 2021!!!

We are a few weeks away from our 6th Annual Holiday Wars!

What is Holiday Wars???

Holiday Wars is our end of year, In-House Competition which redefines Fitness with every workout! It’s similar to the Open, but more Fun and you guys can win stuff!

Every week I will announce a workout to be performed for the week. This year you will only get ONE shot at the workout so make it count! NO RE-DO’s! If you messed up the first time, that’s life as they say!

The Competition culminates with the week 5 Super Total! <– The best part!

What is the ‘Super Total’?

Each athlete will be tested in a 1 Rep Max on Snatch, Clean and Jerk, Back Squat, Push Press and Deadlift.

Each athlete will be given 7 minutes per lift to establish their 1 rep max.

Their total will then be added up and the top 3 Athletes, Male and Female will be awarded prizes and stuff!

Is this a team competition?

No! This is an individual competition. There are Rx, Masters and Scaled divisions. Each division will have their own set of prizes. So choose wisely which you will be participating in!

What’s the cost to join The greatest Competition ever, Holiday Wars?

$49 per athlete! You can register here!

Why does it ask me to pick a class?

This is the simplest way I have for you guys to do online payments as opposed to me doing it through system here. I can process payments in-house or however you want, but this allows you do participate on your own time. You’re essentially paying for a ‘Drop-In’ even though its for an In House competition. If you prefer I can just add it to your membership which makes everyone’s life easier, but I like the idea of you guys getting drunk at night staring at the phone contemplating, ‘Should I or shouldn’t I? I should!’ 

What are the Rx Movement requirements?

Rx athletes will be required to be sufficient in the following movements:

  • Pistol Squats
  • Handstand Walks
  • Toes to Bar
  • Double Unders
  • Snatching
  • Bar Muscle Ups
  • Chest to Bar Pull Ups
  • Wall Walks
  • Heavy Deadlifts

and more!

I just started CrossFit, should I participate?

Everyone should participate! Regardless of skill level. This will elevate your need to succeed and light a fire under you to compete!

But really you will be doing the workouts regardless so make them count. 

Anyone who is competitive should try it out at least once, twice, three times… everytime.

Is there anything else I need to know about this awesome event?

At the moment, I cannot think of anything. I’m sure more will come up, but as of now just be ready to kick some ass for the last 5 weeks of the year!
