June Fitness Challenge

Summer is right around the corner and we all want to get our Beach body ready for the shore! For the month of June we will be hosting a team fitness/weight-loss challenge for the gym to help stay on the right track and get as ripped as possible before we all get into those Speedos and Bikinis! 

What is the Challenge?

Participants will be grouped together at random. Depending on how many people sign up we will either group you in teams of 4 or 5. Prior to the start of the challenge every participant will be weighed and measured and given a target to hit for each week. Every Monday will be weigh-in day to ensure you are on the right track towards your goals. If you are reaching your designated goals, we will keep you where you are and if you are not we will adjust your nutrition. 

There will be no strict diet associated with the challenge as previous challenges had. We ask that each one of you discuss your macros with us and try to come in with a realistic goal in mind.

What if I have no idea what to eat?
Great question! We use this basic formula as a base for our healthy nutrition. Lean Protein + Vegetable + Healthy Fat=Complete nutrition!

What if I have no idea how to cook?

If you really are a noob in the Kitchen, we suggest getting a few meals from the many meal services in the area. 3 of them we work with on a regular basis. (Nutrition Kitchen, Eat Clean Bro and FitFood NJ)
Keep your meals simple. Do what you know. My basic advice is season your food (salt, pepper, garlic) You cannot go wrong with those 3 spices. Add a little olive oil, fresh parsley and lemon to chicken and grill it! Its basic and it works!

Rice and Veggies every meal! If you season it right you won’t get bored.

Ask a friend! We have a bunch of recipes on hand as well as the vast internet on how to prepare healthy meals. Ask anyone here and we will be glad to help.

What are we being judged on?

Each participant is going to earn points with the following criteria:

  • Attendance in gym – Minimum requirement 3 Classes per week.
  • Performance during bonus challenges.
  • Performance during Team Challenges.
  • Combined team weight-loss at the end of 30 days.

Tie-breakers will be determined by a play off series. 

When does the challenge start?

The Challenge begins, June 1st and ends June 30th.

Weigh-Ins Schedule:

1st Weigh In: May 30th-31st
2nd Weigh-In: June 10th
3rd Weigh-In: June 17th
4th Weigh-In: June 24th
Final Weigh-In: July 1st
